CHIMBORAZO

Service Description

Day 1 - We meet in Quito, then transfer to Chimborazo region. After a 3-hour drive we will be at the bottom of our objective (Chimborazo 6,263 meters), and then make our way to Chimborazo's moraine camp. We will use an existing camping site on the ridge called Stubel Camp 5,300 meters) where we will rest and prepare equipment to start climbing at midnight. Day 2 - Climb to Chimborazo at 6,263 meters/20,703 feet, leaving the shelter at midnight, step right to the rocky slopes until reaching the glacier. After a couple of steep sections on the glacier, we will reach the false summit. From there, we climb to the highest point in Ecuador. After enjoying the view, we will head back down to the shelter and pack up our belongings.
